25dOur Galaxy's Heart Is Pulsing With a Mysterious Signal
sciencealert.com
Astrophysicists have discovered that the supermassive black hole, Sagittarius A*, at the center of the Milky Way emits gamma-ray flares every 76 minutes, suggesting orbital motion of an unidentified object.
These gamma-ray flares share a periodicity with the black hole's radio and X-ray emissions, hinting at a common cause.
The researchers propose that a blob of hot gas, held together by a magnetic field and orbiting Sgr A*, is responsible for the emissions, emitting radiation as it cools.

My wife, while listening to me talk about this at dinner last night, “hey Google, play ‘Supermassive Black Hole’ by Muse. Ok, so you were saying?”
