One third of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders have experienced a hate incident, with 16% reporting being victims of hate crimes in the past year, according to a survey. Verbal harassment, racial slurs, cyberbullying, physical assault, and property damage are among the incidents reported. The survey also revealed that 52% of respondents experienced discrimination based on race or ethnicity, particularly in job applications, communities, dealing with the police, healthcare, and housing/loan applications.
