Microsoft is integrating its mixed reality platform, Mesh, into Teams to enable virtual 3D meetings without VR headsets. Mesh has transitioned from a separate platform to a corporate version of AltspaceVR, providing immersive meeting experiences. Microsoft has an advantage with its large user base of over 320 million monthly Teams users to market Mesh against competing startups.
