Scientists discovered a new hydrothermal vent field in the Galápagos with the help of crabs. The field is located in the Galápagos Spreading Center and covers an area of over 98,000 square feet. Exploration revealed a thriving ecosystem with unique organisms, including giant tube worms and large clams.
