Forward Health launches CarePods, a self-contained, AI-powered doctor's office that offers diagnostic tests and prescriptions without the need for a doctor or nurse, for a monthly cost of $99. CarePods use custom AI technology and various medical sensors to provide users with a range of tests, including blood pressure reading, blood tests, and swabs for ailments like strep throat and COVID-19. Forward Health plans to deploy 25 CarePods initially, with a goal of scaling up to 3,200 CarePods within a year.
