A "world's most dangerous bird" known as a cassowary was spotted swimming off the coast of Australia's Bingil Bay, shocking beachgoers. Cassowaries, famous for their prehistoric appearance and strong legs and clawed feet, are capable swimmers and will take to the water to cross rivers or when threatened. The sighting serves as a reminder of the need to protect and conserve the endangered cassowary population, estimated at only 4,000 in Queensland. #animals #nature #education #science #weather
