14dHow long should you wait to work out after eating? Here's what the experts say.
usatoday.com
“Allen agrees, nothing that it often comes down to individual preference dictated by past experience. "If you can tolerate it, feel free to eat a healthy snack before your workout, but don't feel compelled to," she says. "Listen to your body and do what is best for you."”
This is the bottom line in this article. Lots of inter-individual variability. Experiment and find what works for you.

I have a funny story around this personal test.
When I was writing for CrossFit for their media team, I had to cover an athlete who ate a jar of peanut butter a day on top of his diet and training.
So as an astute young writer, I tried it myself to write and report on it and to capture what it felt like. I turns out, you recover really quickly with that level of protein and fat. And you get used to working out on a bloated stomach.
Not advising this but I found it interesting and I can now workout regardless if I just at or not 😅
