14dAlmost time for my year-end “Best of” Netflix list
I’m just about ready to share my picks for the best Netflix shows and movies of the year.
“Beef” and “Blue Eye Samurai” are definitely going to be on the list.
What other great content has Netflix given us this year?

I’ll take Netflix’s year-end gift of The Killer, which redeems the year.
Fall of the House of Usher was compulsively watchable, as was Bodies.
Maestro in Blue was an unexpected delight.
Black Mirror was typically uneven, some good (Joan is Awful, Loch Henry), some fine (Beyond the Sea), the rest not so much (Mazey Day, Demon 79).
God’s Crooked Line was rather good.
Painkiller, Lincoln Lawyer S2, Extraction 2 and Night Agent all met my lowish expectations of them (they’re watchable, don’t pretend to be anything they’re not, and are workmanlike).
Reptile and Fair Play both mildly disappointing.
They Cloned Tyrone and Copenhagen Cowboy much more disappointing.

Good stuff!! I missed Maestro in Blue (great title!), what’s it about?

Thanks!
Maestro in Blue is a Greek drama/murder mystery (Twin Peaks meets Stealing Beauty?)
Beautifully shot, auteur driven (lead actor also directed and co-wrote).
Tyagarajan Sundaresan
Beef would make my list but only because it is constrained by "Netflix". Personally I don't have a list of great content ive seen this year on Netflix. it's all been pretty average. most of the stuff I've enjoyed immensely have been in HBO and Apple TV.
