2 Weeks using Apple’s new Journal App
I’m really impressed with Apples new Journal App, really simple but effective and engaging. With their personal recommendations from your activity to pick from I’m definitely writing more than before. What Journal Apps do you use or do you also have tried the new Journal App in the Beta?

To me it seems more like an event logging app and not a normal daily journal. Seems great for events, travel, memories, etc. though which will be great for some. Just likely won’t compete against my current app for daily journaling.

Hopefully gets added later, together with other features. But maybe we’ll never get it, still waiting for the calculator haha.

Seems like it needs an export feature, too. Apple has enough of my stuff locked in.

For me it still feels like a beta it is. There are a lot of features that I hope will come, from deep integration with iOS, shortcuts, exports / imports etc

I think the number one feature that it is missing is some way to aggregate, your entries or provide a search function so that you can review what you’ve written over the years and try to pair ideas together and gain insights. as of right now, it is more of an event logging app which I do enjoy but I think that it could accomplish so much more
