Google is developing significant updates for Photos to tap into the potential of attracting more photographers, including tweaks to the Documents section UI and the addition of new categories. An auto archive feature is expected to be introduced, automatically archiving photos after 30 days from the View display. Google Calendar integration with Photos is also in the works, allowing users to create reminders within the app for images that contain time and date information.
