The car was used by Hamilton to win the Hungarian GP and secure four podium finishes, and it carried a pre-sale estimate of £8m to £12m. The auction also featured other notable items, including Michael Schumacher's race suit and a 1990 Ferrari F40 GT, but some items did not meet their reserves.
