Amo, founded by the co-founder of Zenly, is launching a new social app called ID that aims to bring back the social aspect of social networks. ID allows users to connect creatively with friends and brings back the personalized profile concept reminiscent of the early days of blogs and MySpace. The app offers an empty canvas where users can add stickers, photos, text, and drawings to create a visual representation of their interests and share with friends.

Not gonna last long. Whenever apps do unique crap like this, there’ll be thsi temporary hype and then it’ll bite the dust eventually. Just the matter of time.

I understand most of them live their 10 minutes of fame through hype, but sometimes rarely they cross the line and became a successful thing, like what happened to TikTok which was created for people doing lipsync videos of their favorite songs.

TikTok was the second attempt at launching this short video based social media app. The first time they failed immeasurably (Musically)

That's exactly what I'm mentioning, I don't think it failed, just adapted overtime and changed name, in 2 years it was already successful.

The thing is most businesses fail because they run out of money. Especially those startups tend to fail due to lack of funding.

Tried it. Too confusing for me. After a day playing around with a friend we both deleted it - turned out to be a total time stuck
