25dHow Lapse Is Trying to Become the Anti-Instagram
time.com
U.K.-based app Lapse ranks third in the Apple App Store's chart, challenging Instagram and TikTok by offering a more authentic, non-gamified experience and allowing users to share disposable camera-like photos with small groups of friends.
Lapse stands out with its film-like photo quality and social media element, allowing users to choose between keeping photos private or sharing them with friends.
While Lapse has faced criticism for its aggressive growth tactics, it plans to focus on building an amazing product and exploring potential paid features in the future.

The big advantage that Retro has over Lapse is that you can pick any photo you’ve taken with any app, instead of limiting the user to photos taking only within the Lapse app.
