Airbnb acquires Gameplanner.AI, an AI startup, in a deal valued at just under $200 million, to accelerate their AI projects. Gameplanner.AI was cofounded by Adam Cheyer, one of the founders of Siri, and will enhance Airbnb's travel experiences using generative AI. This first acquisition since 2019 could make Airbnb a more attractive acquisition itself and comes amid reports of Google's talks to invest in another AI startup.
