I agree with you; however, besides a handful of people, nobody knows what the entire internal fight at OpenAI was about. It could be over a parking spot. It's all an assumption. But you do make a solid point.

My guess is doomers considering how much education the public needs on where we are at with our AI advancements. My hope is centrists. I think right now there’s 4 main LLM products shaping the industry: OpenAI’s ChatGPT Anthropic’s Claud Google’s Bard (and soon Gemini) Meta’s Llama-2 products I know there are way more open source options but we can omit for since most models use OpenAI’s models via its API. And it seems like this entire internal fight at OpenAI was due to releasing custom GPTs and other features too quickly. Which makes me think that most people are uncomfortable by the speed of OpenAI’s deployment. But I do think all these tech companies are trying to accelerate AI development whether we like it or not. They’re just deploying it slowly for optics. Whats your hot take?
