what I understood, Sam head the for profit organization and under his management openai reached what its today, and at the same time wants to keep it ethical and sustainable. the parent not for profit openai's (that focus on research) board fired him

I should have read deeper. Then the opposite must be it. But I thought Sam getting partners was the whole reason they didn’t go bankrupt. Guess he was moving too quickly for their liking. Still not the best way to terminate your CEO. The fallout isn’t surprising.
