Taika Waititi has given an update on his upcoming Star Wars film, stating that he is currently developing it and wants to take his time to get it right. The next Star Wars installment will be directed and co-written by Waititi, who previously directed the season finale of Disney+'s The Mandalorian. Waititi's latest project, Next Goal Wins, is set for release in January 2024 and is based on the true story of the American Samoa soccer team's attempt to qualify for the FIFA World Cup.
