17dPastePal • The Clipboard Manger You Need 📋
onmyway133.com
Looking for the ultimate clipboard manager app without a subscription?
PastePal is probably the app you have been looking for. Not only is it fast and well optimized because it was built natively for the Mac using AppKit and Swift.
It also includes a lot of useful features and it's all a one-time purchase with no subscription.
⭐️ Quick rundown of features:
• Available for Mac, iPhone, and iPad with iCloud sync
• No subscription required
• Flexible history bar
• Peer sharing: Share content between your devices without handoff or iCloud sync
• Automatic plain text
• Create collections
• No tracking
• Allow and ignore apps from using PastePal
• Filters for the types of content you copy (text, colors, links, emojis, images, files, etc.)
• Many more options and shortcuts
👤 My Use Case
One of my favorite features is the Side Panel. Open the Side Panel either by hovering your mouse over one of the borders you set in the preferences or with a shortcut of your choice. I set the hotkey to ⌘-P. When I press these two buttons, the side window will open to display my clipboard history. Now I can press and hold ⌘-P on the text of your choice to copy it. Or just press ⌘-P and then ⌘-1-9 to copy the text of your choice.

Used this for a while but it’s a memory hog and the ui gets sluggish after a while. Still a great app though despite its issues and pricing model is much better than others.
But nowadays I keep it simple by using Clipboard history in Raycast.

I totally get the use case for this as it’s nothing new. But, I’ve always wondered with these apps, who needs to just have a list of the links they’ve copied? I mean, if I copy a link, I’m doing something with it then. Sending it to someone, opening it in another tab, whatever.

Sometimes I wanna save links, other times i wanna copy texts from diff sources before using them.
It's helpful especially if the price isn't too high

As well as copying links, I sometimes collect text in a row from an article. Without PastePal you would have to paste the text after each copy. With PastePal I can just copy several times in a row and can access everything on my iPhone.

Haven’t tried Paste but it has subscriptions. PastePal is a onetime purchase app.

Is it something that Raycast does for free?

Ra Raycasts clipboard manager is very simple. PastePal has a lot of customisation options, automations (so called Transform) and it syncs with your iPhone.
I agree that Raycast is a great app with a lot of functionality, but an app that does a lot of things doesn't do them very well. That’s the case with Raycast.

This looks nice and probably packs more features, but the clipboard built into Raycast does all I need for free, out of the box. It has replaced my need for a standalone app.

the worst part about switching to android for me so far is the lack of a good cross platform clipboard manager.
