Less than 16 percent of Seller Fulfilled Prime (SFP) orders met Amazon's two-day shipping guarantee due to limited operational hours of some sellers.
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) claims that SFP sellers consistently met their promised delivery estimates, sometimes outperforming Amazon's Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) orders.
Amazon allegedly shut down the SFP program because it was too successful and posed a threat to their competitive edge, according to internal communications revealed in the FTC lawsuit.
